Camaro Fights Mustang and Challenger – Muscle Car Comparison
Posted by: admin Post date: May 30th, 2009In 2002, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second human being to set foot on the moon, punched a guy in the face for accusing him of faking the moon landing. Buzz was 72 years old at the time. Go right ahead and question the existence of the 2010 Ford Mustang GT, 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T and 2010 Chevy Camaro SS and they, too, might just give you a knuckle sandwich in the kisser. Like Mr. Aldrin, they bear names from long ago that have made …

They didn’t use the SRT8…..thats a dumb race
The challengers SRT8s say SRT in the grill
May 29th, 2009 at 4:50 am
Camaro = Shit! SS vs R/T vs GT..that’s not right. compare it to an SRT8 and a Shelby, course they won’t do it, it cannot keep up!
May 29th, 2009 at 5:13 am
yes and Z28 would eat the SRT and Shelby.
Camaro > Challanger >>>>>>>>>>>>Pinto>>>>Mustang
May 29th, 2009 at 5:16 am
Yeah they should be using a STR8, it’d kill.
May 29th, 2009 at 5:35 am
no, it’s quite fair, they took all the mid-range models, the SRT-8 has 425HP, the SS has 426, so if they do build the Z/28, your talking 556 ponies, that’s some serious Mopar killing power. game over.

Dude thats not a 2010 shelby mustang if that was the 2010 shelby mustang it would have owned all those cars by a huge factor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry bud, never coming out. cancelled a long time ago
May 29th, 2009 at 7:19 pm
you can’t deny that the mustang in this video was not a normal gt tho. if it was then there is no way it could’ve kept up with a 6.2 v8
May 29th, 2009 at 7:39 pm
No but you could help everyone by shutting the fuck up with your nonsense that nobody believes.
May 29th, 2009 at 8:00 pm
The way GM is looking right now,I don’t think they’ll be making the Z28 next year LOL

Road and Track got the R/T to do 0-60 in 5.1 which means it’s almost as fast as the SS and much cheaper. They didn’t wanna run the SRT-8 against the SS because it would’ve embarrassed Chevy.
May 29th, 2009 at 9:43 pm
you can shut the fuck up,because you are stupid, and live in a fantasy world!!shut up stupid!!
May 29th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
as far as price goes all three of these cars are outfitted with the top most trim level and all three have all the performance/handling upgrades the camaro has the RS package, the mustang has the track pack, and the challenger has 6-speed gearbox and limited slip diff.. these prices are from the emunds website in the written article of this video and the prices are camaro=$35,380 , mustang=$35,625, challenger=$36,710. so no the R/T is not cheaper
May 29th, 2009 at 11:21 pm
lol why did you post (0:24)? they say nothing about the price?
May 29th, 2009 at 11:39 pm
the new challenger srt10 concept make sheet the camaro ss and i like the mustang shelby gt500kr

May 30th, 2009 at 5:11 am
you stupid maker of this…. it depends at the driver dumbass…..!!!!! the driver there cant beat me in a drag race slow shifting like a kid…. lol fuck y’all
May 30th, 2009 at 5:27 am
Who is paying these guys? I can understand the gt because the next up is a huge jump but at least do a SRT-8 agianst the SS. And for irony, how about a G8 even a gt. It would beat 2 of 3.

“…but the Camaro will leave both them choking on its tire smoke. And when it comes to American muscle cars, that’s all that matters.”
*sigh*
Hopefully these cars handle well and are not just power in a straight line. The reviewer completely ignored that. If you want power in a straight line, by a japanese tuner and destroy the engine with nitrous oxide. This is 2009, the world has changed. Hopefully these cars have more to them than what the reviewer mentioned.

Road & Track tested the SRT-8 at 0-60 in 4.7 seconds while they got the Camaro SS to do it in 4.6. They tested both cars in the 1/4 mile at 13 flat. These times are consistent except for the Challenger’s quarter mile depending on the source. The reason they ran the R/T in this comparison is because that trim package is in the same price range. People need to realize that all three of these cars are great and have rich histories. In the end, it’s all a matter of opinion left up to the buyer.

They’re called MUSCLE cars. Putting more emphasis on the engine. They’re not being called aerodynamic efficient vehicles or anything along the lines of that. And also, the way these cars are manufactured makes them lean more towards the look, than the aerodynamic aspects. I’m just saying these cars have more attention paid to the engine, than to the way the car’s aerodynamics work. Though, they’re more aerodynamic then their originals lol

dont care 4 the camaro and the challenger but 4 me its all about the Mustang!!
May 30th, 2009 at 4:38 pm
