The owner of the cars was a car dealer in the 1970s and 1980s, and decided to save the more interesting cars that came through his doors. When the barn was full, he padlocked and “soldered” the doors shut. (Perhaps welding was too permanent.) Web sites varied on the number of cars: 58, 100, and 180 were speculated.     Leave them in there because those cars will be the rarest cars in the world in about 100 years from now……well i would at least drive them for a while but then put them back in.

    I’ve heard of the story some years ago. But it been 2 Brothers that been big the the Industry, one was a car fanatic and did buy everything he could get in his hand, that’s why some of those cars are not complete. Not only did they find cars, but whole engines, parts and even machines to build the cars from maybach i think.

    the brothers did go broke and had to sell everything in the 1990s, the article said there are already like 50-60 cars in a museum, but they just don’t have the money, time or space to repair all the cars and show them. There are some of the rarest cars in the world in that little barn waiting to get rebuild
