Bought a ’72 Z new for cash! Slapped down $4,600.00 on the guy’s desk and drove out of the place! Had the pleasure of driving that car for the next 14 years! After 14, the engine and drive train were as strong as ever; but the floors had already been replaced with fiberglass; and the wheel wells had also rusted out.

Thanx for the piece of history! It really is a very beautiful car, and very fun to drive. I currently own a 1972 and I will NEVER get rid of it.

Nissan sounded “too Japanese”. LOL My, how times have changed. Now GM and Chrysler are in big financial trouble and Japanese cars are in every other driveway in America.

nissan did not called themselvs datsun. Nissan bought the brand from an existin company who made trucks under dat, and made cars named datson later datsun. Nissan in usa datsun should be an small altrnative to the more larger american cars.

i agree, some of the older lines from the 240 have been added to the 370 and it all ties in very nicely.

Or do a direct L28ET swap and get a nice 13 second car with no other mods
Then you can upgrade turbos, etc.
