What version of “This Modern Love” is that if you don’t mind me asking?

  3. moosehd2 Says:

bishop, I just took the regular version and edited it to make as much of an instrumental version that I could.

I’ve painted many a scene with strobes, but never a car. Gonna have to try that one

was it necessary in post to edit your silouet out of spots, or did the lights just blow out any remnence of that?

    Nice work!

  14. alexgowers Says:

wow cool! must have had to have a baffle on the edge, to stop the edge of the box lighting up and a black bit of fabric over the rear hole to stop that showing up too. I’d love to try this now, if only i had a soft box and not bloody umbrellas!!!

  15. crizomatic Says:

Impressive… I’ve never thought of going about it that way. Who needs a studio? Not this guy.

  17. snufferoo Says:

    Beautiful pictures.

Where’d you place your Nikon flash?

  18. JackTheRipper1187 Says:

In the softbox he holds up :) .

  19. SpectrumTechwear Says:

no CF card- that’s hilarious (now that you’re past that, surely was a bummer at the time). thanks for leaving that in there, made me laugh. Great technique, thank you.

  20. ichirootaniguchi Says:

its a long exposure and he fires the flash by hand in multiple places

  21. monopodi78 Says:

Wondering how the reflections on the floor look so good. Meaning that when the flash is fired a ten times a bit different angle at every time would there be a ten different reflections. Postprosessing is allowed, I know that :) . Anyway, very good looking pictures with minimum lighting equipment!

  22. Photolabel Says:

    Great!

  23. Weimarauder Says:

Nope – reflection is dependent on the position of view (camera), not the position of the light source.

Try watching a reflected building for an hour – sun moves, reflection doesn’t.
