Posted by: admin Post date: September 27th, 2009THIS IS THE LATEST ADDITION TO OUR CLASSIC CARS. IT IS A 4 DOOR 1958 FORD PREFECT 100E IN WINCHESTER BLUE. THE ENGINE SIZE IS 1172cc. IT IS A GENUINE 27000 MILES FROM NEW. THIS CAR WAS IN STORAGE FOR 20 YEARS, AND AT A SEPARATE TIME FOR ANOTHER 10 YEARS. IT HAS JUST HAD A RESPRAY IN IT’S ORIGINAL COLOUR. THE PREFECT IS IN ALMOST PERFECT CONDITION, AND WE JUST HAVE A FEW SMALL BITS TO DO TO FINISH IT OFF. IT HAS 3 GEARS AND A ‘PULL’ STARTER KNOB. THIS CAR WILL BE FINISHED OFF TO THE EXACT …

my great uncle fred had one of these, lighter blue, if i remember, he lived in hackney , east london, this is about 40 years ago. now the best bit .. it got stolen 8 times all those years back and was found intact every time and only a few miles away.(me old grandad told me)you cant make up stuff like that.

Thanks for your interesting story. My Mum also owned the almost identical Ford Prefect 107E with the Anglia Engine. We lived in Shepherds Bush, West London at the time. It is reminiscing for me, as I was just a small child and the car seemed SO big at the time. It looks so small now though!
